With this in mind, several players have created a myth about Bladers concerning stat distribution. It has already been a practice in Cabal that a Blader who prefers PVP should invest in a higher Str for higher attack and defense while one who enjoys killing mobs is to have a higher Dex for higher defense rate.
Throughout my gaming experience as a Cabal Blader, I have spent millions of alz (Cabal's in-game currency) buying extract potions as per advice of my friends and guildmates to "fix" my character's statistics. I have changed back and forth from being a so-called Dex-type to Str-type for countless times.
On my personal experience, I have proven that there is no difference whether you have a higher Dex or a higher Str.
First, take note of this Stat Distribution Variablity Table:
Based on the table, you can easily notice and realize that the attribute given is the same whatever statistic distribution you prefer. However, this will not be applicable for a Blader who, for whatever reason, actually decides to invest on Int (please DO NOT ever do this if you are a Blader).
As per the case of wearing an armor set against a martial set, it is best that one merely meets the requirement for the set.
As an example, here are my current stats at Level 144:
Str: 520
Int: 64
Dex: 550
With those stats, I can wear both the armor set and martial set (although I still need 3 stat points for my Int to use a +7 mithril blade or katana). It is also more than enough to withstand mobs and win PVPs. Obviously, it is because Str and Dex give the same attribute whichever way you put them.
Misconceptions are created by players themselves. Therefore, only players can clear them up and perhaps break a few myths surrounding the game.

this answers nothing, if you really looked, adding str gives 1 attack every 4th point, dex gives the same results..as for defence, its the same for dex and str except every 7th point, but the upside to dex is you get defence rate also...so dex for pve is always the better choice

DeleteHe/She was kinda right at that time though, Both STR and DEX gives DEF (and even Int) and Def is flat damage reduction. directly deducted on the damage you will receive up until EP8, when EP9 was released, DEF now reduce damage by percentage (ex. 1000 def = 30% reduction) you can only gain DEF from accessories/runes/equipments/skills. Other stats like penetration, damage reduction, evasion and accuracy was added and each stat pt bonus works as what we have now xD

ReplyDelete100 attack is equivalet of 10% or 1% crit damage im not sure but between 10% to 1% is the equivalent and if you dont have any deathblow weapons blade or katana buy a mithrill blade or katana 2slot with CDI+20% upgrade it to +9 im asuring you yours skills damge will be Destructive for monsters and other Characters

ReplyDeletereally unless theres a maximum base for example lets say the max is "700" then until u were to hit the max base for dex or str it doesnt matter which one u pour ur exp into...... u get 5 points each lvl and they both cost 1 point to raise 1 time. so until u were to hit a max base the only major thing u would see a difference in is def rate since 2 pts in str 3 in dex is the same as 5 in str or 5 in dex other than the def rate. in other words put ur stats in str OR dex whichever u like and in the end itll all even out anyway ;p

I find it very frusterating that they do the same thing though. Then there really is no best build. ALl you need is stats for equiping.

Deletehere's their difference Dex gives more defense rate why Str gives more Attack rate, my advice is that try setting one stat where it exactly adds damage at that point and add remaining stats in one.

ReplyDeleteLower dmg but you will never miss, able to wear armor -low Def but you're miss me, wear gear with high def rate.
Str n dex don't give the same...dex give blader a 10% additional point. For example, Defense - str = .123, dex = .122 BUT str = .4 def rate, dex = 1 def rate.
Personally, I rather making you miss me then never miss me, of course once you hit me...I will die. But it is a not likely chance that you will. :) I'm a BL Bringer of Korea Cabal. Trust me, dex is the best, FB n BL NEED DEX MORE THAN STR. WA n FS NEED STR NOT DEX, imagine FB n BL as the sniper n WA n FS as the front line men. Once u found a sniper (this case you hit me) he is screwed. Front line have support (high ass def).
I would prefer balance on str and dex of blader for better purposes while on forceblader dex type but there are some players prefer balance or str type for other purposes.

Delete-STR gives Attack, HP and Damage Reduce
-DEX gives Attack, Attack Rate, Defense Rate and Evasion.
1. Attack amount given by STR and DEX its the same quantity.
2. The value increase lows when you have more Stat Points spent in that Stat. For example, every point of STR spent in a recently created Blader (16 STR) gives him 0 HP, 0.8 Attack and 0.5 Damage Reduce per point, but in a 145 Blader with +500 points spent in STR parameter it gives +0.5 HP, +0.6 Attack, +0.3 Damage reduce per point.

DeleteIn my own experience grinding high level mobs like in map 190+ latest update you need to have more str in order to survive. But doing dungeons or killing bosses having more dex is the one i prefer

ReplyDeleteFor me go for full dex in early levels because of high percentage of survivability in farming and dungeons. Where can you get gears? Its on farming. But once you are fully set, now go to balance stats.
