Ragnarok Online 2 (KR) to Kick off Final Test on Dec. 26
As announced, Ragnarok Online 2, a highly-anticipated project developed by South Korea-based Gravity, is going to carry out its final test from Dec. 26 to Dec. 30.
The final test is to be focused on testing the various systems to be made available when Ragnarok Online 2 is commercially released as well as the server stability. A wide array of great prizes will be offered for testers when the time comes, like "5 million won" which is enough for one term's college expenses, coupons worth 100,000 won, and some commemorative virtual items.
At this year's G-Star, Gravity disclosed that Ragnarok Online 2 was expected to start commercial service in South Korea in Q1, 2012 with the goal of entering certain overseas markets in 2014. According to Gravity, the game has been licensed to 10 countries, and the localization work can start at any time.
The current Ragnarok Online 2 is a remake of Ragnarok Online 2: The Gate of the World which experienced a heavy blow in CBT May, 2007. The in-game systems, character appearances and so on have been revamped comprehensively. Ragnarok Online 2's second CBT took place in August, 2010. And now the remade Ragnarok Online 2 is finally going to be officially released. But how the players react to the game will decide whether the remake is successful or not. Will it write a new chapter on the market or be discarded by players? Let's just wait and see.
