To start off the entire mobile gaming venture, we got something from our good friends at Cherry Credits, the same guys who brought us the epic online game Dragon Nest.

Set to be launched for iOS and Android devices in Q2 2016, Luna Chronicles is a 3D turn-based tactical fantasy RPG in which players must lead an expedition deep into the heart of darkness to assassinate Erega, a young boy who became corrupted by evil and wrought madness and chaos on the once idyllic realm of Luna.

Hello From The Other Side

HELLO, FELLOW GAMERS!

Pardon my very long absence; I'm sure you missed me as much as I missed all of you. I must also apologize to the PR Teams of various game publishers whom I have failed to accommodate during my hiatus.

So, what have I been up to?

WORK. REAL LIFE WORK.

Saving lives is fun, fulfilling, and fantastic, of course. But just like any RPG character we have encountered, each adventurer must prop up a tent or rent a room in an inn and rest to replenish his HP and MP. During the course of eight long months, my life was pretty much like that. I eat, sleep, and save lives (hopefully, saving the world in the process) each and every day and it took a toll on me, something had to give in.

Unfortunately, it was my gaming that suffered.

After upgrading my PC specs and all, it became a dull paperweight, used mainly by my parents to play solitaire and check their Facebook accounts. It became a constant reminder of how my medical career chewed on my gaming life.

I then had no choice but to compensate for the lack of gaming. Hence, I resorted to mobile gaming.

Sure, I wrote about Brave Frontier a year ago, but that was the only mobile game I actually featured here. I still am playing it though (and enjoying it a lot), even if I have failed to follow through with anything else for the said game.

I have since then attempted to venture back to my online gaming roots by playing Grand Chase M. I may or may not do a full feature on it (I really want to!) but let it suffice to say that I also am hooked on it. Unfortunately, my phone can only fit one game at a time, so I'm alternating between Brave Frontier and Grand Chase M, installing and uninstalling both of them as the need arises.

Yep, that's how low my salary is. Go figure.

The point is, I won't be focusing on online games anymore. I am now fully opening my loving arms to mobile games since that's what is most accessible to me right now, given the whole medical superhero saving lives gig I got. So, bring it on, everyone!

Ran Online PH to Migrate to Global Service

After more than 10 years in the Philippines as the first online Free to Play game, Level Up Games has recently announced that Ran Online PH will merge with Ran Online Global Service. The announcement was made after a statement from Min Communications, the South Korean company responsible for developing the game.

Players are encouraged to participate in the migration process, which will be available starting August 5, 2015 at 6:00 AM [GMT +9] in the Ran Online PH website.

In line with the migration, the PH servers will be merged. Strife, Alab, and Rage in one server while Havoc and Apocalypse in the other, which will be named Strife and Havoc, respectively. These servers will be made specifically to house the Filipino players along with the Unity server, the third new server that will be launched to accommodate more players. Other details regarding Unity will be announced soon.

On further reading, it can be safely assumed that the players' characters will be safe and sound. They will not start from scratch and will even go up 1 level higher upon successful migration. Furthermore, all items and gold will be intact provided that they are all in the character's inventory as all items in the Item Bank will be wiped out. Guilds and membership will also not be affected. However, all on-going quests will be reset. (Please read the Migration FAQ here).

Ragnarok PH Reaches End of the Line

Brave Frontier RPG: A Review

When you're stuck in an island with a non-gaming laptop, where do you turn to for your gaming needs? Your smartphone!

That's exactly what happened to me for the past 4 days. I brought the smaller laptop, thus cannot handle my usual online games. Thus I downloaded Brave Frontier RPG on my phone.

Why? Simply because it's just my style: a turn-based RPG that is set in a fantasy world - in this game, the Grand Gaia - where everyone is depending on you to save them.

But I got so hooked to it that I figured I should share it with everyone.

Journey To The West Server Migration

To decrease the lag in their game Journey to the West, Cubizone has recently issued a statement announcing a server migration.

Attention Warriors,

In giving you the best gaming experience there is, our main aim is to stabilize all gamers' connectivity for smooth gameplay. Which is why the management decided to migrate our server on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 starting at 9am (GMT+8). Server migration will take an estimated working time of 7 hours. During this process, players won't be able to access their Journey to the West Accounts.

Furthermore, we would like to inform everyone that our upcoming Monday regular server maintenance will be cancelled to give way of the transition.

Cabal 2 Recruits Players for Open Beta

Many players have participated in the Focus Group Testing for Cabal 2, stating how they were feeling about the game. The team of developers got some pretty great feedback from the FGT.
