Ragnarok PH Reaches End of the Line

On the eve of Valentine's Day, Level Up! breaks every Filipino online gamers heart by announcing that it will finally draw the curtain on the country's first and longest running MMORPG, Ragnarok Online. The game will rest its local servers on March 31, 2015. However, it offers to migrate the local accounts to the international server for those who are still eager to continue playing.

When Ragnarok Online 2 was first announced, you can imagine how excited everyone was, especially the Filipino RO players who hold a special place in their hearts for the said game, it being the first MMORPG in the country.


When Ragnarok Online 2 announced that it IP-banned the Philippines from accessing the game, you can also imagine the disappointment the Pinoy fans felt, to the point that their desperation led them to look for various ways just so they'd be able to play.

Ragnarok Online 2: Swordsman Guide

The identified "tank" of RO2, the Swordsman class is a melee class dependent on close range battles. They are generally the first person to take damage and deliver damage in a battle, fighting on the frontlines of a battle. A Novice can become a Swordsman after a certain requirement, at this time unknown, is met. The Swordsman relies on damage skills, though it also has several powerful defensive skills. It can successfully fight high level monsters much higher than its level due to its high HP and damage ratio. Most of its attacks center around dealing damage, though some are geared towards dealing damage towards more than one target at the same time. It is severely limited in ranged attacks, however. In RO1, a swordsman could advance to either a Knight or Crusader at job level 40-50. The Knight, which is an improvement on the Swordsman's damage dealing ideal, relies on high damage skills. A Crusader, who is more of a battlemage, relies on a balance of both damage skills and buff skills. It is unknown at this point if the Knight or Crusader will be introduced into RO2.

Ragnarok Online 2 OBT Moved to January 3, 2013

AsiaSoft has announced that the company has decided to push back the Open Beta for Ragnarok Online 2. Originally determined to start December 27th, 2012, overwhelming response from players wanting to participate in the first English server launch has pushed the Open Beta back to January 3rd, 2013.

Singapore-based publisher Asiasoft has announced that Ragnarok Online 2's closed beta for the region will start on December 7 and run until December 12, and will be in English. The Malaysian and Singaporean servers will be active from 11am until 2am (GMT +8) during the closed beta period.
