The recent typhoon that hit the Philippines, typhoon Ondoy, raged the country with rains at a rate of 410mm, higher than that of Hurricane Katrina which surged the US with approximately 380mm. It left hundreds of thousands of Filipinos homeless and the death toll continues to increase, with a lot more missing.
