Cabal Siena The Queen Story Teaser 3

Here is the conclusion to the amazing story behind the upcoming patch for the Philippines' top MMORPG, Cabal - Siena the Queen.

Maku Sha's charge towards us stopped abruptly, shadows lifting up from the cracked stone floor, weaving through and around those huge legs. The beast roared at us, a loud, animal noise that had nothing in common with the speech that came from its mouth only moments before.

"It will not hold for long." The Force Blader spoke, and I thought I detected the tiniest amount of strain in his voice. "I really suggest we take care of this as fast as we can." He stepped past me and the Warrior, his left hand moving through the forms of binding and weakening. I've encountered those before, on the field of battle, and barely escaped with my life. I remember that terrible weakness, my blades suddenly almost too heavy to lift, unable to move...

I hate these guys...

Cabal: A Sneak Peak at Panic Cave and Altar of Siena B2F

Cabal's expansion patch, Siena the Queen, boasts of two new dungeons for Cabalists to explore: Panic Cave and Altar of Siena B2F.

The Panic Cave is a 20-minute dungeon with three difficulty levels to choose from, based on your character' level. On the other hand, Altar of Siena B2F is the harder version of the already released Altar of Siena B1F.

Cabal: Siena the Queen Story Teaser Part 2

The momentary coldness of the gate was enough to make me shiver slightly, after the damp humidity of the Mutant Forest, and I was almost grateful for it, rather the cold than that godawful humid heat. My relief was very short-lived, as I emerged from the gate to find the area on the other side even worse than the outside. The first thing that struck me was the smell, a cloying, sickly-sweet stench that made it hard to breathe, and I heard one of my companions gasp as they entered through the gate behind me. The room was eerily silent, not even the slightest rustling or far-off noises that was the constant background sounds of the Mutant Forest.

My eyes took a moment to adapt to the gloom, and it became apparent that I was standing in a large room, rather than a cave, a broken-down, collapsed room, covered with twisted plant-growth and illuminated by whatever the hell was growing on the broken walls, but a room nonetheless.

What happened to the builders? Victims of the Great Destruction... This ruin was supposed to be a temple, but how long ago, and dedicated to what...

Cabal: Siena the Queen Story Teaser

To make things more interesting, the GMs from Cabal EU have posted a story about the new dungeon, Altar of Siena B2F.

With a backstory to an awesome new dungeon, players can at least have a feel of what mystery lies behind the doom and gloom of the menacing dungeon.

Siena the Queen

"Humans."

The voice was quiet, and low enough that I could feel it rather than hear it.

"You dare to step into this place?"

Cabal: Altar of Siena B1F Dungeon Guide

Here is the Altar of Siena B1F guide that I promised everyone.

ALTAR OF SIENA B1F GUIDE

The entrance for Altar of Sienna is located in Mutant Forest (MF) right where the MF Grocer is located. Once you have the entry item in your inventory, you will see a warp. When you are ready go inside it.

When you warp in you will instantly see a tiny little person. Click on the tiny little person to activate quest.
Tip: Before clicking on the tiny little person, make sure your party is fully buffed and in bm2 and aura with trans.

After you activate the quest, Glutto will appear. Defeat him!
Tip: BM2 and Aura with trans and debuff--panic cry, field of fear, hardluck, etc

Once you defeat Glutto, continue on. You will reach a warp, go inside it. It will warp you to the next room. Continue straight and you will see another tiny little person. Click on him to start the quest.

After clicking on the tiny person, go back the opposite way you came from and make a left. After you make a left, look for this chest. Once you found it, click on it.

After clicking on the chest, go back to the tiny person and on his right you will see this tomb which is the Ominous Altar you are looking for. Click it.

After clicking on the Ominous Altar, go to that same tiny little person and click on him to finish the quest.

Once you're done and have recieved your gem, continue along the path. You will see some stairs, go up it and you will see the boss named Zealru. Defeat him!
Tip: BM2 first and extended later on. The reason is because this boss, Zealru, teleports. So don't waste your full power on him because he will teleport a lot.

After you defeated Zealru, continue forward. Go down the stairs and proceed through all the mobs. Once you get to the end, you will see another tiny little person. Before clicking on him, make sure your team is fully buffed and in bm2 and aura with trans. Activate quest when your team is ready.

Defeat Angelo! Be quick when trying to kill this boss, if you are too slow he will "1 hit you" in addition he can go Art of Defense (AOD) for 5mins. Please note all bosses can go AOD.
Tip: Tankers in front of him to aggro, and the rangers directly behind him with good distance. After your full power is out, retreat directly behind him and hug the wall. Wait for BM2 again and attack together. Tankers take one side and rangers take the other, do not attack together in the same direction.

After you defeat Angelo, continue on to a room where you see four of these statues. On the left side, as you come in, click on this statue (Effigy of Jealousy) first.

Then click on the one next statue (Statue of Voracity) to it.

Then go click on the first statue (Effigy of Jeolousy) one again.

Afterwards, directly across it, click on that statue (Statue of Wrath).

Now, once you click on the statue head back out and find this red ball (Shining Sid). Once you find it, click on it.
Tip: As you are leaving that small room with the statues, make a left turn and you should see it around there.

After clicking on the red ball, continue back the direction you came from and keep going till you reach a dead end. You will see this wall, click on it.

Then going back the direction you came from, near the room where the statues are at, find this Brazier and click on it.

After click on the Brazier, go to the red ball (Shining Sid) once again and click on it.

Now then, go back to the statue room and click on the final statue (Statue of Greed) to activate quest. Once you activate it, you will have to defeat 2 bosses. One of the left and one of the right.
Tip: Before clicking on the final statue, make sure everyone is buffed and in bm2. Immediately after you activate quest, run up the stairs and pass the boss on the right side. You want to pass him and go to the other room. In that room, go full trans and kill the tree boss.

Defeat Tree Boss! (This image is not the image of the tree boss, this is of Greedir, who is the other one. I apparently did not take a picture of the tree boss, I apologize.)
Tip: If your BM2 alone cannot defeat him, extend with aura. After you defeat him back out of the room and wait for BM2 again. Again make sure party is buffed.

After defeating the Tree Boss, defeat Greedir! Defeat him quickly or he will AOD for 5 mins.
Tip: Go full power again, BM2 and Aura with trans and full debuffs. Make sure tankers are attacking him from the behind, and rangers at the front.

After defeating Greedir, continue on. You will come to a warp. Go inside it and it will warp you to the next room. Follow it all the way through and you will come to this statue (Contaminated Waterway). Click on the statue to activate the quest.

Now head backwards to the warp you entered in from and click on this Old Altar.

After clicking on the altar, head back to the statue (Contaminated Waterway) and click it again to activate quest. Warning alot of mobs will appear!
Tip: Before clicking on it make sure everyone is buffed and go Bm2 or Bm1 whichever you prefer for Area of Effect. Once activated kill all the mobs. Afterwards, continue forward into the pool to fight the "fish boss, Lazine".

Defeat Lazine! Kill him quick, if your team is too slow, he will AOD for 5mins.

After you defeated Lazine, continue forward and immediately on your left, as you exit out of the pool, you will see a statue. When you are ready click on it to activate quest for final boss.
Tip: Have your team go BM2 when you activate it and when you get to the final boss, Centrion Prideus, extend and trans with full debuffs.

Defeat Centrion Prideus!

After you defeat Centrion Prideus, continue on and finish the quest by clicking on the red ball (Gem Sid).

Cabal Altar of Siena Final Boss

Cabal's latest update, Soul and Siena, made its way to the local gaming scene yesterday, July 14. With the latest patch came a new dungeon, Altar of Siena which is one for high level characters to explore.

Altar of Siena is located right smack in the middle of Mutant Forest and entry to the dungeon is limited to high level characters, specifically level 135 and above. Veteran Cabal players already know how difficult the level 125 dungeons are, namely Forbidden Temple B2F and Forbidden Island. Even level 140 characters have a hard time finishing those two aforementioned dungeons, so you guys probably have an idea just how tough the Altar of Siena might be.

For those who have already braved the new dungeon and successfully finished it, it must have been quite a fulfillment to do so. The dungeon boasts of its exclusivity as the only location where the Sig Metal Armors can be looted, pretty much like the Forbidden Island wherein Sig Metal Weapons are dropped.

For those who have attempted to enter the Altar of Siena yet failed to complete it, here is an idea of how fighting the Final Boss feels like.

Cabal Soul and Siena Now Implemented

Today marks the Philippine release of the latest patch country's top sci-fi MMORPG to date, Cabal Online. Cabal Episode 3: Soul and Siena has successfully taken the local gaming scene!

Soul Ability System
Ability EXP known as AXP can be earned along with EXPs. AXPs is converted to AP, and these points can be used to learn passive skills.
- AXP is a sort of EXP that will support the game play to be more exciting as character levels up. Earning AXPs is same as earning of EXPs. If 10K EXPs were earned from the mobs then AXP can be gained around 10K. However, different from EXP, AXP has a different conversion rate by levels.

AXP (Ability EXP)
- New Ability EXP that can be gained just as the EXP.
- Not that AXPs can be gained instead of EXPs, it is an additional point system that is gained separately with EXP or Skill EXP. However, there is a minimum level requirement for it.

A. Minimum AXP Earning Requirement: Level 120
- From the fields, dungeons, and Mission Wars.
Based by the calculation of EXP earning when attacking the mobs, AXP earnings are calculated.
AXP Bonus is also valid with Platinum Services. (AXP Bonus 25%) . Earning AXP(EXP to AXP) conversion rate is different by levels.

Level Tiers Conversion Rate
120 or lower 0%
120 ~ 129 75%
130 ~ 139 80%
140 ~ 149 85%
150 ~ 159 90%
160 ~ 169 95%
170 100%

AXP by Mission Wars
- It is calculated by personal scores.
(Destroying Structures, Guardians, Building Force Towers are not calculated separately to AXP for they are applied to the personal scores)
- 1 Personal Score equals to 100,000 AXP
(If personal score is 100, then you are earned with 10,000,000 AXPs or 1 AP.
- It is calculated at the end of the Mission War. If character is not there at the time of the calculation, AXPs are not applied.
- WExp cannot be used to earn AXPs nor it cannot be earned with the WExp to EXP conversion.
- AXP Limitation

AXP cannot be earned if character AP exceeds 500.
- Note that EXP is something that is gained from attacking mobs and which is used to calculate the level up point. The higher levels the characters get, the total amount of EXP to level up increases which makes harder for characters to level up.
AXP is something that is earned as same amount as EXP but its total amount of AXP for AP conversion stays the same, but the conversion rate from EXP to AXP or the rate that characters earn from attacking mobs changes as the levels gets higher.

AP (Ability Points)
- The point that is converted from AXP when a certain amount AXP accumulates. It is a unit that is required for Soul Ability System.
- AP Conversion Details
A. 10,000,000 AXP equals to 1 AP. AXP returns back to 0 when converted to AP.
- AP Limitation
B. Up to 500 AP can be accumulated. (Expansion of its limit is planned in the future)
- AP already consumed to learn skills cannot be returned.

Essence Runes
- Items used to learn passive skills or upgrade skills using AP and upgrade items such as cores.
- There are total of 26 Runes available. You can only equip or learn maximum of 13 Essence Runes or skills.
- Essence Runes are tradable items and already equipped or learned Runes can be removed.(Once the Rune is removed, it has to be learned again from LV. 1)

Ability Types and AP costs

Cabal PH Password: CABALrocks! (yes, the exclamation point is part of the password and it is case-sensitive)

Player Reactions

So far, the complaints regarding the new patch is the depreciation of Chaos Lamps and lag. Chaos Lamps are now sold at NPCs for only 1000 Alz. Before the implementation of the patch, Chaos Lamps were sold at 1M Alz at NPCs. This used to help Alz-less players in saving up some in-game cash by farming for the said item and selling them to fellow players for at least 500K Alz. With regards to the problem of game lag, it is deemed unavoidable due to the system probably still "adjusting" to the additional bandwidth that the game currently carries.

Because guides for the new dungeon are still not complete, here are a few videos to keep the excitement.

Cabal Altar of Siena Video Guides and Drop List

Cabal Episode 3 Soul and Siena has already graced Korea and Europe last week, June 16. The Cabal players of each country have been more than enthusiastic in exploring the new game additions, especially the new dungeon, Altar of Siena B1F.

Killing Endstille

Umpra's Location

place where you get warped

As of this moment, there is still no complete dungeon guide for Altar of Siena. Cabalists are still trying out the dungeon (it has only been a week, folks) and testing every possible way to make it easier to finish. Perhaps a few more tips and tricks and eventually someone from Korea or Europe can finally come up with a decent step by step guide to help other players finish this new dungeon.

For now, let us settle for these cool Altar of Siena Video Guides:

Five-Person Party

Four-Person Party

Three-Person Party

The title received for finishing Altar of Siena is "God/Goddess Of Unholy Force Cores".

It is also noteworthy that in the dungeon, players may receive an attack boost (+1000ATK) from a boss. A boss can give you buffs or debuffs - means he can lower or increase your attack, defense, and other attributes, as seen in the image below.

Also included herein are a few of the drops players have so far looted from the dungeon.

Altar of Siena Drop List (so far):

Force Core Highest
Upgrade Core High
Upgrade Core Highest
Extortion Bracelet+4
Red Osmium weapons and armors
Vampiric Earring +6.

This looks good. Looted from dungeon mobs

SIGmetal Visor(WA) no slot
Epaulet of V +4 (I have no idea what this is, sorry. It was abbreviated as EOV+4. Please leave a comment if you do)
Mithril Crystal no slot
Bracelet of Sage +4 bos+4
lvl 99 stuff 1 slot clean
SigMetal Greaves WA 1 slot clean
Earring of Guard +6
Earring of Guard +5
Force Regeneration Earring +6
Bracelet of Fighter +6
Mana Absorb Ring +3

So in a nutshell, the good ones players are supposed to loot from the dungeon are the following:

EOX+8 (X=any value)
SIGMetal armors and epaulettes
+5 jewelries/accessories

Unfortunately, there are certain issues regarding the new patch, especially those that deal with the inventory sub-password. The system recognizes the sub-password as invalid when one checks on his safety inventory in towns regardless of whether punched in the correct sub-password. This has led to several accounts being blocked. Game developers and local country distributors are already trying to fix the bug.

Let's hope the full dungeon guide, as well as the bug-free patch, will be available before it hits the Philippines.
