Tokyo Game Show: Square Enix Hauls Final Fantasy Fever

Square Enix is one of the most well-known publishers based in Japan. That means the company unleashes the big guns (or gunblades) at Tokyo Game Show, which officially starts on September 15th. If there's a game with "Final" or "Fantasy" in the title, chances are Square Enix is showing it off. And we couldn't be more excited to get our chocobo fix.

Gone in a Minute: Gameplay Trailers for Mass Effect 3, Counter Strike: Global Offensive

Every now and then I'll be posting a compilation of Gameplay trailers of upcoming games that we are so eager to own and play. For lack of creativity, I'll be calling it "Gone in a Minute" (I first typed in Gone in 60 Seconds but that was a complete lack of originality).

For this week, we have Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Mass Effect 3, and Battlefield 3, to name a few. Enjoy!

Magic 2012 Expansion Pack: Be the Archenemy

The downloadable versions of Magic: The Gathering have been incredibly popular on Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA) and Steam. Earlier this year we got the excellent sequel Magic: The Gathering -- Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012 and next month we'll be enjoying an expansion pack that adds new cards, challenges, and a twist to the very cool Archenemy mode.

Blade & Soul, ArchAge and LIFT Delayed to Early 2012

According to Korean media, there is a big possibility that players' long-awaited MMORPGs Blade & Soul, ArchAge and Lift will be delayed to the first half of 2012.

"The open beta testing of Blade & Soul has not been confirmed, but we're aiming for this year," NCsoft's legal representative Kim Taek Jin once said.

Will Sony Vita Pull People Away From Tablets and Phones?

In a mobile, app-driven world, Sony is convinced that gamers will flock to the PlayStation Vita. Based on the official specs alone, Sony could be right.

In an interview with GameSpot during Gamescom 2011, Sony's director of hardware marketing John Koller said that gamers will discard their smartphones and tablets for the company's delayed handheld console, the PlayStation Vita. The comment isn't surprising given that Sony is trying to push a very expensive piece of hardware, but given that consumers typically only want to carry one device as it is, the idea seems a bit naive in an app-controlled, mobile world.

HP TouchPads Fly Off Shelves Thanks to $99 Firesale

Late last week, HP announced that it was nuking its tablet and smartphone lines and putting WebOS on hold. All well and good for HP, but retailers still had tons of unsold stock taking up shelf space. HP's solution to that problem was a fire sale: The 16GB TouchPad was dropped from $400 to just $99, while the 32GB TouchPad fell to $149 from $500. This is in addition to the price drop that saw the sticker price for the two devices fall from $500 and $600, respectively. HP sent out the memo to its affiliates to drop the price starting August 20, but BestBuy.ca and Future Shop made the cut late on Friday night, leading to frenzied anticipation for U.S. retailers to drop their prices, too.

Razer Tiamat: Headset for Surround Sound Gaming

With latest games providing HD visual experiences, users normally fall short on the audio part and to put that aside the Razer Tiamat 7.1 headset claims to do so with its true-to-life pinpoint audio system and the ten discrete speaker drivers. Also, accompanying the accessory is the Razer Tiamat 2.2 stereo gaming headset, holding four individual speakers and two bass subwoofers.

Street Fighter x Tekken Welcomes Kuma, Hugo, More

GamesCom 2011: New trailer for crossover fighter details new battle systems, expands roster with looks at aforementioned goliaths, speedy ninjas Raven and Ibuki.

Few of the potential matchups offered by a Street Fighter-Tekken crossover are as patently obvious as lifelong bear wrestler Zangief versus lifelong bear Kuma. Capcom is halfway to making that dream match a reality, as the publisher today released a new trailer for Street Fighter x Tekken, featuring gameplay of a handful of newly confirmed characters, including Kuma himself.

Tera Online on CBT

Tera: The Exiled Realm of Arborea is one of the new MMORPGs that would soon be released, as it is still in beta testing at present. The game houses seven races and eight classes. The game's serveres would be located in North America and Europe, but the good thing is both servers would not have IP-block. Stated below is a brief over view of Tera Online from steparu.com. More details to follow in the next posts :)

Tera Online is a very user-friendly game. For instance, targeting monsters may look complicated but in fact it's really easy to pick up, especially for players who have only played point and click MMORPG's. It's pretty easy to level up and you will most likely never run out of quests. Tera Online can get very addicting due to it's new direction of combat and non-targeting system. The storyline missions can prove to be challenging on occasion but at the same time it isn't so hard to finish like the end game dungeon. Most of the monsters and areas that you will come across have their own unique feel. Having played a lot of titles, I've yet to stumble across similar monsters or areas in other games.
