Dragon Nest SEA 5th Anniversary Celebration!

The world’s No.1 MO Action RPG Dragon Nest SEA celebrates its 5th year of service this August. True to its strong dedication to the gaming community, Dragon Nest SEA players will get the chance to get up close and personal with the game developers in the first ever Dragon Nest Developer-Player Feedback Session, which will be held on 13 August 2016 at Fisher Mall, Quezon Ave, Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines

In this Dragon Nest SEA 5th Anniversary Fie5ta, players can look forward to exclusive sneak previews of upcoming game content, as well as having their questions personally answered by the game developers themselves. Players can also submit their questions to the Developers through the Dragon Nest 5th anniversary website here: http://dn.cherrycredits.com/5th-anniversary

As part of the 5th anniversary celebration, attendees can also enjoy a line-up of fun activities and carnival games such as the popular Dragon Nest Auction, where players can purchase special items using in-game Gold, and even a lucky draw where full-set Argenta, Geraint and Velskud in-game costumes are up for grabs.

Players outside of the Philippines need not despair, as the 5th anniversary celebration will continue in the shores of Singapore too, tentatively in the month of October. Similarly, a Developer-Player Feedback Session will be held there.

In a constant bid to keep Dragon Nest fresh and exciting to new and veteran players alike, various in-game events and major content releases will also be part of the game’s 5th anniversary celebration. These include the highly anticipated Awakening skills and new level cap, which will hit the game very soon. In the meantime, players can enjoy a flurry of 5th anniversary in-game events and snag exclusive rewards to commemorate this special occasion.

“The only thing constant is change so we are not afraid to embrace it,” said Mr. Stanley Liew, CEO of Cherry Credits. “Dragon Nest SEA has come this far thanks to its strong community. Our players are very vocal with their feedback and we appreciate this by actively listening to them and implementing improvements and new content to make the game even better. In celebration of our 5th anniversary, we are bridging the gap between players and developers, so both parties can freely express themselves through open dialogue and contribute to their passion – the Dragon Nest game.”

Dragon Nest World Championships 2014

WHAT'S UP, PEOPLE!

Yes, I'm back, after quite a hiatus. The board exam's now over and I'm just waiting for September 3 for the results. Hopefully I pass. *crosses fingers*

I sincerely apologize to all the emails I failed to reply to, ad offers and game articles I had to reject simply because I didn't have the time to accommodate the needs of this simple blog of mine. But hey, I'm back and ready to catch up on gaming news!

First off of my email? DRAGON NEST! I am honestly surprised and happy to have a DN-related article on my email on the very first day after my examination. You guys know how crazy I am about DN, right?

Here we go!

SINGAPORE – September 1, 2014 – Gamers from the world’s No.1 MO action game, Dragon Nest SEA will have the opportunity to represent their country at the Dragon Nest World Championship (DWC) 2014 Global Finals, held in Bali, Indonesia from 4th December 2014 to 5th December 2014!

Dragon Nest Assassin Abyss Walker Skill Build

Dragon Nest SEA certainly knows a thing or two about keeping players on the edge. This time they did it by holding back a little bit on the Assassin excitement by releasing only the Chaser job type. There's nothing bad about it since Chasers are really cool and the Assassin's a welcome addition to the DN SEA character roster.

But of course every DN SEA player knows just how more cool the Bringer job type is.

To be specific, what makes the Bringer cool is the Abyss Walker branch of it. Abyss Walkers are the next Bringer class that can deal both DPS and support. Depending on the skills you allocate will also depend on the role he will play as a Abyss Walker. If you are really into PvE then I suggest buying the dual skill tree and just making them one Support and one Damage build. The both builds will determine if you can heal in the nest or raid.

Abyss Walkers can DPS and deal insane amount of damage but what they cannot do is what the Light Fury can do. Light Furies will still outshine them just that he is more versatile and can deal both damage and support if he wants but still remember if you are playing Support please play as one and not start dealing damage in the middle of the nest.

Pros:
  • Considered DPS but not really needed for damage.
  • Not really discriminated due to the role he plays.
  • Stacking dark attack is really easy.
  • AIs are much smarter then Academics.
  • Insufficient MP is no longer a problem for Bringers or other classes.
  • Good for PvP as EX really helps in chaining skills together.
Cons:
  • Could be boring as you don’t get to deal damage most of the time.
  • SP constraints for your skills.
  • Takes experience to be a real good Abyss Walker.

Dragon Nest Assassin Light Fury Skill Build

The Assassin finally gets the Bringer skill tree in Dragon Nest SEA!

Cherry Credits, the official publisher of Dragon Nest SEA, and Mr. Addison Kang, its producer, recently announced that the Assassin will be having its other second job real soon as it will be released during the game's 980 Mark.

So in light of this announcement, I immediately went to work right away to try and shed light on what could possibly be the best skill build for the Bringer types, namely the Light Fury and Abyss Walker, and what better way to do so that to first work on Light Fury!

Light Fury is the next support class to join along side the healers of Dragon Nest. Light Fury has some really cool skills that allow it to support real well and buff and debuff allies and is a good companion in whatever you do. A Light Fury is supposed to stack on VIT items like an Elestra always remember you are there for support and not damage. Only deal damage if your party has done their burst DPS skills, most of the time you just need to observe and cast summons to help you deal damage throughout the raid.

NOTE: Bringers can only use Dagger as their main weapon, if you use a Scimitar you would be unable to cast any Bringer skills. All Assassins stack AGI and not STR. STR is their second stat.

Pros:
  • One of the best supports we have now in Dragon Nest.
  • Considered DPS but not really needed for damage.
  • AIs are much smarter then Academics.
  • Insufficient MP is no longer a problem for Bringers or other classes.
Cons:
  • Could be boring as you don’t get to deal damage most of the time.
  • Stacking elemental damage could be hard.
  • SP constraints for your skills.
  • You really need experience to be a good Light Fury.

Assassin Arrives as Dragon Nest's 7th Class

The 7th and newest class for the Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game, Dragon Nest, was released for South-East Asian servers last Tuesday, March 18. Cherry Credits proudly announced that the Assassin will be made available on the SEA servers together with the Guardian Nest in Solo and Normal mode.

The most notable change in the Dragon Nest patch is introduction of the Assassin to players. A class based on Strength and Agility, the Assassin conceals himself within the shadows to take his enemies’ lives unnoticed, using a scimitar or crook.

Dragon Nest Assassin Ripper Skill Build

As promised, here's a pretty good build for the Assassin's 2nd job, the Ripper.

Compared to the Raven type, the Ripper is a fire elemental. It is a melee type with high speed combos and short skill cool down. However, fire elemental is relatively harder to stack. Nevertheless, fire resist monster are less encountered, and he has built-in fire buff (almost permanent). The Ripper's elemental aura is easily available as compared to the much rarer dark attack buff percentage from Raven. Furthermore, since you can equip high level accessories without the need to use low level tough accessories, Ripper has much higher raw stats than Raven. On the contrary, the skill damage of Ripper tend to be lower than Raven.

For those who like fast combo, you should pick Ripper. Attack speed 50% increase is available for most Ripper main skills; along with the +30% attack speed increase from Cripple Punisher, the attack speed of the Ripper is very fast.

Again, feedback is very much welcome.

Let's proceed to the skill build!

Dragon Nest Assassin Raven Skill Build

In celebration of the coming of the Assassin to Dragon Nest SEA, I now present to you guys what I believe is the best PVE and PVP skill build in the entire worldwide web.

Okay, perhaps that last part isn't exactly true, though I hope some would agree with me eventually, and I'd definitely appreciate feedback and suggestions.

Now, what I have here is for the Raven type, one of the second job changes for the Assassin. Although the Raven and the Ripper (which is the other 2nd job change, which I'll also be posting a skill guide for in just a little while) are both elemental based, the Raven is more of a dark elemental type, with mid-range attacks and high burst, high skill damage. However, the disadvantages are the abundance of dark resist mobs and the low level of tough accessories (which gives high dark attack percentage). To make up for that, Raven has very high skill board damage (in fact, it's the highest among all elemental classes).

For those who prefer mid-range and burst damage, you should consider picking Raven. Raven has very fast casting and burst DPS skills.

Enough chatter. On to the skill builds!

Dragon Nest SEA: The Assassin's Here!

Dragon Nest SEA producer, Addison Kang, has just given the best announcement yet for the world's number 1 action MMO.

He himself cannot contain his excitement, changing his Facebook profile's cover photo with the wallpaper of the silhouette of the much awaited new Assassin class last February 20, 2014.

Finally, Mr. Kang broke his silence yesterday, March 7, 2014, by formally announcing that the Assassin will be released on the upcoming game patch. However, the new class' 2nd Job Specialization will be only be limited to that of the Chaser, which has the Ripper and Raven jobs.

To further hype up this update, Dragon Nest SEA has launched an event, encouraging players to create Assassin memes. Winners of the contest will be rewarded with a Nyan Nyan gesture for their Assassin character upon its release. Visit the Dragon Nest SEA Facebook page for more details.

So I'll be off now, finally get my Warrior to Level 70, and prepare for the coming of my favorite class in any game I've ever played, the Assassin!

Dragon Nest SEA Gives 70 Reasons for Cities to Rise

Okay, the title's definitely not as clever as I'd want it to be.

BUT THE LEVEL 70 CAP FOR DRAGON NEST SEA IS FINALLY HERE!

Yes, that deserves to be typed in all caps because that is more than enough reason to celebrate and get back to intense DN gaming time! And why wouldn't you? The latest update from Dragon Nest SEA, The Rise of Cities, introduces a whole new zone with 5 dungeons, 5 bosses and countless skill updates. Aside from that, this will also serve as a backdrop for the soon-to-arrive-and-much-awaited-7th-class, the Assassin.

Don't you just love the folks working for this game?

The game got this cool update last February 11, 2014 and the valiant heroes of Dragon Nest SEA who are looking to max out their character levels, and take on the role of defender for peace in this epic game couldn't help but rejoice. Shanda Games International (SDGi) announced the launch of the game’s Level 70 content update and everyone's been very excited about it.

Dragon Nest 2.0: More Than Just The Level 70 Cap

While this may be old news to some people, Dragon Nest 2.0 will no longer have suffixes and potentials for weapons and armour, instead; a new system known as the "Dragon Jade System" will be implemented.

Furthermore, Dragon Nest's level 70 cap a.k.a. Dragon Nest 2.0 also includes some other new features to the game, including:

The Auction System (you can now put your items on auction and the highest bidder will receive the item which marks the end of the "S> [insert item here] BO NONR No Noob" days.)
Talisman (not sure what this is about, but it seems as though they are, basically, heraldries/suffixes.)
New Accessories (of some kind)
5 New Abyss Dungeons (Sand Sea, Lost Moon Desert, Golden Steppe, Bronze Forest Path and Lunar Eclipse Canyon.)
Higher-Grade Gems (for level 70 gear)
New Fairies (probably like the dogs/cats/manticores/etc. that can give you some extra stats.)

Enough babbling! Let's get to the update's features!

Level 70 Cap Coming Soon to Dragon Nest SEA

As we know that DNSEA has been constantly updating the content every single month which was a big difference from the 50 cap in which we only had major content added to our server every few months. That whole content took 1 year to be implemented before we went on to the 60 cap. As the 60 cap took about one year to be implemented into CDN and KDN loads of stuff were removed and they had also took the time to update.

Once in the 70 cap it was different ever since the release in June we have been seeing almost 5 months worth of continuous update that is implemented in the 70 cap. DNsea could be taking the route of this since maybe they found a better translator and developers to make our version of DNsea even better and faster. Judging by the amount of content we left to level 70 its just about 2-3 months away.

How to Top-up Your Dragon Nest Account If You're in the Philippines

We all know that we lost a little (perhaps a lot to others) convenience when LC never renewed their whatzits galore with our beloved Cherry Credits. This, however, is not the end of Lagendia!

They offered other channels wherein we could still enjoy those plump maraschino cherries for our Cash Shop needs, such as 7-Eleven and AllServe. Other than that, I do not recommend using Level Up Cards. Aside from the fact the LU is unreliable, players who have once played an LU game knows that the company is messed up.

By the way, I would like to concentrate on 7-Eleven electronic reloading process since it is accessible to some, if not most, people as well as it's a familiar sight in most populated areas. Some stores don't carry Physical Scratch Cards as of the moment so this is your last resort if you happen to be inside the said convenience store and got no other place to grab those cherries.

Warning though, some of the shop staff might not know that they could sell the cherries that we all want to purchase any time so here's what I did.

Dragon Nest 2.0: A Welcome Change

Eyedentity Games is still working hard on Dragon Nest despite recently releasing Dungeon Striker and also unofficially announcing Dragon Nest 2. Dragon Nest 2.0′s core content now will be the increment of the level cap to 70.

Some features are going to be deleted in the new update, such as Hidden Potential and Suffix. This is done to simplify the whole game. Gears with such upgrades will not see any bonuses deleted, but the newer items will need to use Dragon Jade to upgrade (read further below).

This was recently implemented in the Korean Server last June 13 and was well-received by the player population.

I personally can't wait to have this update on the SEA Server!

Dragon Nest Barbarian Level 60 Skill Build

I know the level 60 cap in Dragon Nest has already been released for quite some time. However, since I have only reached level 50 recently (yesterday, as of this writing), it was only now that I had the urge to actually look for a really good build for a level 60 Barbarian.

What I have posted here is, of course, the best build that I found while scouring the worldwide web. This build, although mainly for DPS, and thus PVP-focused, has some PVE elements in it so you can just mix up your skills to find the combo that can suit you in both PVE and PVP.

How To Find The Perfect Game

I chanced upon this funny yet creative algorithm in IGN.com while I was looking for MMO news. It was fun tracing my path towards the next game I'd probably play but it's weird I kept landing on games I know I wouldn't play anyway (HAHA!).

I won't say it's useless, but hey, you wouldn't know what you'd enjoy unless you actually try it. :P

This flow chart has all sorts of games and it gets pretty interesting. So go on and try it out!

Dragon Nest: 60 Levels of Epic Battles

There's just no stopping Shanda Games in making Dragon Nest the MMO to beat. Dragon Nest SEA has recently raised its level cap to 60 last May 13, 2013, jampacked with new updates. Players can now embark on the next chapter of their adventures in Lagendia which include 2 powerful Nest bosses, an additional passive skills system, new learnable skills as well as 5 new stages in Lotus Marsh.

The introduction of new skills is also one of the key highlights of this major update. The Combined Skills System allows a new set of passive skills to be learnt by adding up the total levels of the player’s characters. Players can also learn new EX skills during levels 55 and 60, giving them a more powerful boost in the battlefield.

Dragon Nest Kali Blade Dancer Skill Build

After posting the skill build for the now released Kali, some players are asking me for another option. Is there any other skill build for the Kali?

Of course there is!

Introducing the Blade Dancer Skill Build!

As I have posted before, the Dancer is a non-elemental character with a unique buff system. This build focuses more on damage, increasing it by 60% at max level.

·The board damage is generelly higher than Spirit Dancer, but the cooldown is generally longer.
·Melee class, can cancel skill in casting, very agile in battle
·Sword Dance has a buff which increases crit rate of sword dance skills by 30%, duration 5sec (CD 10sec).
· Has many invincible skills.
· The EX version of skills has 30% attack speed increase.
· Skills in general have longer casting time; higher difficulty to play successfully.
